Fall Foliage Networks in New England…
A popular question I get asked this time of the year is “where can I get the best and latest fall foliage reports for the various New England states?”
So I’ve compiled it all here for you.
Before I get state specific the best regional fall foliage site I’ve found is The Fall Foliage Network.
Here you’ll find reports for all around the U.S. but they have special Northeast coverage.
Reports start around September 1, and are updated every 3-4 days until November.
The site provides colorful maps so you can see exactly where the best colors can be seen. They report on both foliage color and leaf drop.
Nice site. Here’s the link

New Hampshire Fall Foliage Site:
This site is run by our friends at the official New Hampshire tourist web site.
It contains a predictor together with state regional reports, and some general information about how to plan the right time to visit in New Hampshire to see peak colors.
Site can be found here:

Maine Fall Foliage Official Guide:
You’ll find weekly reports from different regions in Maine. These start around September 14th.
This site contains a forum so Leaf Peepers can exchange the latest and greatest information on local conditions, and you can see daily what’s happening where.
Also contains a photo gallery, computer wallpaper pictures, and a FAQ site. This is one of the more comprehensive sites if Maine is your choice of fall foliage visits and planning.
Site can be found at:

This is the official site of the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing.
Covers the usual, weekly reports, travel tips, scenic drive routes. Nice touch though is a list of articles on getting the best out of the fall foliage season in Vermont.
A well put together site to plan your fall foliage views in Vermont.

Massachusetts Fall Foliage Guide:
Official site of Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism.
Fall foliage reports due to start on September 20th.
Not as comprehensive as some of the other fall foliage state sites, but contains the basics with maps, and regular reports for Massachusetts leaf peepers.
Site can be found here:

Connecticut Fall Foliage Site:
The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection runs the official fall foliage site for the state.
The site offers current foliage report, together with a section on 10 best views for fall foliage in Connecticut.
Go here for site:

Rhode Island Fall Foliage?
Rhode Island doesn’t have an official fall foliage tracking site. The official tourism site for the state is: http://www.visitrhodeisland.com/ but you won’t find much fall foliage information there.
My suggestion is to follow the updates at The Fall Foliage Network by clicking here.
That just about wraps up everything you need to get the latest on fall foliage around New England.
For additional information on festivals and tours in the region be sure to check out the fall foliage New England page at the web site by clicking here.
Enjoy your autumn leaf peeping!
