Best of Massachusetts Entertainment – Blue Man Group with Tubes

Last night I took my family to a very special Boston Show.

We had a meal together at McCormicks & Schmicks wonderful seafood restaurant, and then went to see the latest Blue Man Group show – Tubes.

If you’ve never seen a Blue Man Group show before then you’re in for a treat.

Without revealing too much to spoil the fun I can tell you it’s amazing but difficult to categorize. The show is both original and creative. You just can’t put a Blue Man Group performance in any traditional slots.

Blue Man Group was started by three friends on the streets of New York before finding a permanent home in the Astor Place Theatre.

The phenomenon that’s now Blue Man Group has permanent shows still in NY, Boston, Chicago, Las Vega, Berlin, and Toronto.

What started out with three friends meeting to perform now has a cast of over 500 and stretches around the globe.

So, maybe you’ve seen them already on TV ads with various products, or on one of their appearances on the Tonight Show, or maybe even a performance already.

Tubes is their latest experience and includes music and props with a distinct interactive element – for you. But it’s fun!

Blue Man Group performances take place in Charles Playhouse in Boston’s theater district. Regular performances are Wednesday through Sunday, with three shows on Saturday, and two on Sunday.

Why not stay for a weekend and take in a major sporting event as well. You can find more details at my Massachusetts Sports section by clicking here.

Enjoy your week.
