Six Flags New England Fright Fest

New England Witch Image“Do you want to see something really scary?”

I can’t forget that line spoken by Dan Akroyd in the 1983 movie version of “The Twilight Zone.” And I’m reminded of it each year when Halloween season comes around.

Six Flags New England is well known for creating thrills during the summer, but for the last few years its set the standard in New England for scares and fun in the days leading up to “Trick or Treat” night.

This year though, New England’s largest theme park has raised the bar!

With haunted shows, horror attractions, yet plenty for kids and family to enjoy, a day or evening at “Fright Fest” will get you into the spirit (sorry, about the pun!) of the season.

Haunted Shows – Include “Dead Legends Live”, “Haunting Illusions”, “Hyprosterics”, “Dead Man’s Party”, “Verdict of Sorcery”, and “Showdown in Ghost Town.”

Horror Attractions – visit “Nightmare Island”, “Trail of Terror”, “Terrorvision Circus”, and “Haunt Zones.”

And for the little ones not looking to be scared…

Kids and Family – Events include “Trick or Treat Village”, “Pumpkin’ Patch”, “Mayhem Missions”, “Puppetworks PhantoSeize”, “Monster Mash”, and a Looney Tunes “Six Flags Halloween Party.”

Six Flags New England Fright Fest runs through to October 31st.

Times are: Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 12-10pm, Sunday 12-9pm, and Monday October 31st 5-10pm.

The theme park is located in Agawam, near Springfield, western Massachusetts. For more information about the park check out my special Six Flags New England page by clicking here.

Springfield is close to some gorgeous scenic drive areas in Massachusetts, particularly colorful during fall foliage season. My scenic drives in Massachusetts page provides you with featured drives in the area.

Enjoy the scares,
