New England Ski Mountain Resorts Website Launches for 2009 Season
The leaves are gone and New England enters the stick season – this signals planning trips to New England ski mountain resorts and so here’s a new resource.
People in New England are divided between those who live for the summer and those who relish the cold winter – well not entirely true but close enough.
My friends and buddies range between those that can’t wait to get the T-shirts and shorts out for the season, and those who can’t wait to sharpen their skis and walk around in 10-below wind-chills.
I’m lucky – I love both, although if you gave me a choice between a trip to Florida or Vermont during March then the Von Trapp family would probably go broke but it would depend on how good the snow season had been.
My friend Kevin has no such tough decisions to make. Kevin is a ski fanatic and has probably skied every major New England ski resort and mountain more than once. But Kevin definitely has his favorites and opinions about most. He is the “go to guy” to get the real skinny about a ski resort.
Kevin is a self-confessed downhill junkie and wanted to keep current on all the ski mountains and what was happening when and where. But he couldn’t find one central web site that provided more than just generic information reproduced from individual mountain sites.
So Kevin decided to create his own downhill guide for New England skiers and his New England Ski Mountain Resorts site has launched just in time for the 2009 downhill season.
As Kevin explains: “This is not a generic list of the best ski resorts. To the contrary I will try to give you personal insight as well as the most up to date information about each of the New England areas that I can. My goal is to consistently provide updates for each area as the information becomes available.”
Kevin has been hard at work on putting the site together over many months and I’m impressed with what he has done. You’ll find all the states and most of their ski areas covered, sections on family resorts, and of course best places for vacations and skiing package deals.
Kevin continues: “This site will give you personal insight to areas I have been to and information about those that I have not. Whether you are looking for cheap ski vacations, a family ski vacation or just want to learn to ski or ride, you will find the information you need here.”
If you love the New England ski scene or planning a visit for a ski vacation to the region then you owe it to yourself to check out Kevin’s site and start getting the information to plan the trip of a lifetime.
New England can be a challenging place to ski and there’s an old cliché that goes something like – If you can ski in New England you can ski anywhere. Well I’m not sure about that, but I suspect Kevin would say, “If you can ski in New England why would you want to ski anywhere else?”
Kevin’s site is at http://www.new-england-ski-mountain-resorts.com/

Can’t wait to get them boots on and head out to Wachusett! But with the weather we’ve been having they haven’t been making much snow. New England needs a good holiday of snow so we don’t get anymore closings for good.

Nice job on the guide Kevin. It’s good to see someone passionate enough about skiing to actually create good content for the use of others.
