Go Boston Card - A Smash with Families, Tourists, and Locals Who Want to Save Money

Boston Massachusetts ImageThe Go Boston Card helps families and tourists on a Boston vacation and locals save money. Boston is a wonderful city to visit, but it can be expensive - I have three boys and live close enough to visit often, so I speak from experience.

But for one low price a purchaser of the Go Boston card has unlimited admission and sightseeing to over 60 Boston attractions, activities, tours, excursions, museums, and other sites in the Boston area.

The concept of Go Boston Card is similar to theme park tickets as you can purchase one-day or multi-day (2, 3, 5, & 7) tickets depending on your stay. One day cards cost adults - $45, and children (3-12) - $25. Multi-day cards are substantially discounted; for example, the rates for the popular 3-day Go Boston card are $95 for an adult and $45 for a child.

In addition to teaming up with the top tours and attractions in Boston to provide free admission for you, the Go Boston Card gives you 20% savings on shopping and dining, and a 172 page full-color guidebook, so you can plan your visits and savings each day.

I checked out the tours and attractions you get for free, and they include Trolley Bus Tour, Duck Tour, New England Aquarium, Museum of Science, Boston Harbor Cruise, Museum of Fine Art, Beantown Whale Watch, and many more.

I’ve done all these in my time as a New Englander. These are all popular and top-rated Boston tours and attractions. So purchasing a Go Boston Card let’s you save money while visiting the places you’d likely go and visit anyway.

How to Get Your Money’s WorthFrom the Go Boston Card

Take the Bean Trolley Tour and the Duck Tour because these are not only worth doing, but give you two of the biggest savings. So you’ll be sure to get your money’s worth.

The Beantown Trolley Tour is a two-day pass. Do this tour the first day to get oriented with the city, and then revisit on the second day sites you didn’t get to see on your first day. The trolley has twenty stops near 100 points of interest, and you can get on and off as many times as you want each day.

The Duck Tour is a unique ride around the streets and Charles River. That’s right, it’s an amphibious craft and not only tours the streets of Boston, but gives you a splash of fun and different perspective of the city when it turns into a boat, and cruises the Charles River. This is a favorite of my family.

More from the Go Boston Card

Two other Boston favorites of my family include the Museum of Science and the New England Aquarium, both places provide hours of enjoyment and wonder, and both are included with your Go Boston card.

I also personally enjoy cruises. And two included with the card are the 45-minute Boston Harbor cruise which tours the inner harbor and waterfront area…

And the much longer Beantown Whale Watch cruise which provides the opportunity to spend half-a-day seeing the biggest mammals on earth in their natural feeding grounds off nearby Cape Cod.

The fact is your Go Boston Card provides access to too many tours and attractions to list here.

So if you want to take or see the most popular tours and attractions when you come on your Boston vacation, and save money at the same time, then be sure to check out Go Boston Card before you do anything else.
